Our Story
We’re Minor and Jennifer Mobley of St. Charles, IL. We moved here from Indiana in 2010 with our 2 small children. Some of you may know us as the owners of Excel Automotive Repair.
When we opened Excel in 2014, we knew we wanted to find a way to give back to our community. As we looked under our Christmas tree to see all the presents our children would be getting, we thought about all the little ones that wouldn’t be opening presents on Christmas morning. We decided to reach out to our children’s elementary school social worker to see if there were any families that may need some assistance providing Christmas gifts to their kids. We, like many others, didn’t realize there was a large number of families in need within our very own community. That’s how it all started, with purchasing gifts for children in need in our very own school.
Big Hearts of Fox Valley was created in 2004 by the Mobley familiy as a way to “give back” to our community. We grew quickly, and Big Hearts of Fox Valley NFP was formalized in March 2019 as a 501(c)(3). We now serve all D303 schools and their younger siblings who aren’t in school yet.
